I was initiated into Bellflower Chapter on January 10, 1977. At the time my parents were serving as Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron and my younger sister was Adah. At the next meeting I was installed as Electa. Filling the "Mother" station I became pregnant with my daughter.
I moved back to San Diego in June 1980. I was born in San Diego but moved around with my family since Dad was in the Navy. I affiliated with Lakeside Chapter which eventually consolidated with Estrella Chapter. My mother was initiated into Estrella Chapter in 1946. I had many family members that belonged to Estrella at one time. I served as Worthy Matron in 1997 (50 years after my grandmother, Edna Reisweber) and I served our District as Deputy Grand Matron in 2001 (50 years after my Great Uncle, Jack Hardy, served as Worthy Grand Patron of the State of California).
I have served as Adah, Ruth, Esther, Electa, Marshal and now Secretary. I have served Grand Chapter on several committees. I am active in my 1997 association serving as Secretary/Treasurer, my 2001 association serving as Treasurer and the San Diego Cancer Dressing Breakfast Association serving as Secretary.
I have two children, Stacia age 28 and Jason age 26. Stacia is an accountant at Viejas and Jason works in the warehouse for Coca Cola. I am very proud of them and they light up my life. I have worked for the San Diego Superior Court (previously as San Diego Municipal) for 25 plus years. I have worked with a wonderful Judge (Judge Lillian Y. Lim) for 20 years. We have traveled from the downtown courthouse to Chula Vista to El Cajon and now back to downtown.
I enjoy my sisters and brothers and have a wonderful time at all the Eastern Star functions. We enjoy traveling to other chapters together. Come join us some time if you haven't been lately. We have a great time!!!!
